Re: Forum members and guests.

Yeah the forum was down for a few weeks because I was forced to upgrade the software and basically that went poorly and crashed it. I'm no pro at forum software so it took me a while to figure it out. Obviously it's back up now, but that probably scared a few folks off. Things should pick up though ...

New PCX150 for 2019

Honda just unveiled a new generation of the PCX 150 for 2019. It's arriving in the USA in July. I've just written a big article on the MSG homepage (http://www.motorscooterguide.net) with all the info and more photos.

Well the service/shop manual can be downloaded at the link below, which contains basically everything in the owners manual and a whole lot more:

Re: Shop wants me to pay $2000 for a new engine after they bent my crank!!

Normally the stator is inside the flywheel. The stator is a bunch of wires, like an alternator, and then fly wheel has magnets inside that work in combination with the stator to generate electricity. Flywheel's virtually never have a problem since they are just a hunk of metal with magnets glued on,...

Re: Broken Speedometer... NX50

The speedometer cable is a thick metal wire inside a plastic tube. It's entirely mechanical (not electrical at all). Sometimes the wire breaks inside the tubing, but most often it just becomes disconnected at one end or the other. It usually clips/snaps into place at the wheel, and screws into place...

Re: Importing Issues with Genuine Scooter Co STELLA

Yeah you should be able to get it imported. Motoretta imported them to Canada for several years, as the Stella page on the main MotorScooterGuide.net site describes. There will be some hoops to jump through, like getting it safety inspected and some paperwork, but it shouldn't be too hard. I don't t...

Re: Help! Need some suggestions

Wow that's on there. Is it somehow bonded to the rim? Or the bead is just really tight? With old tires, I normally lay then down on their side and drive over the rubber with a vehicle to unseat the bead. You might be able to shove a solid stick/bar inside the tire now that you've got it cut, and the...

Re: My first 1985 Aero80 project. Bystarter and carb help

My brother did that with his Aero 80. He got an OKO 21mm carb from VTCycles.com along with a cone filter (replaces airbox) and upgraded intake and reeds that bolt to the motor and fit with the new carb. It ran 50mph with that new reeds/intake/carb. A carb like this should do it. Trickier is getting ...

Re: 2016 metropolitan new performance exhaust. Does EFI need to be adjusted

Your EFI should have an O2 sensor in the exhaust, which the EFI system uses to ensure the fuel delivered is about right. So you should be fine if you have an O2 sensor. If not (unlikely), then you would want to take a look at the spark plug to ensure the mix looks good.
