Re: Can I make a honda metropolitan for the freeway?

I agree with most if you want to go highway speeds you'll need a 150cc min with 250cc and up preferable. Trying to make a Met go those speeds is too expensive and it would be cheaper to just buy a 150cc or larger scooter

Re: Kymco agility 50 4t

If the size is correct, presuming 130/70r12 then it will fit just fine. Even 120/70r12 will do.

Long time no read Bear. Nice to see your still up and riding. I've yet to see a Like 150 in the flesh yet. how comfortable is she on the road?
I believe the engine is the same one that's in my Movie but with the fuel injection I wanted. My engine is limited to 9500rpm which is good for 107KPH/66MPH

Re: Yahma 2stroke vino49cc engine swap

hate to break it to ya but the 125cc engine will not fit. the scooters may look really similar but under the skin they are completely different. heavy modifications would be needed to make the 125 work in the 50cc frame and body.

MadBastardScooterRally the Final One

Not sure in any of ya'll keep tabs but this years MBSRally will be the last(hopefully not). KYMCO pulled their sponsorship as well as changed importers.
If anyone ever though about it now's the time to come out and enjoy the fun. Or rejoin which ever the case maybe.

Re: 1988 Elite top speed & kit questions

Which model of the Elite do you have? Before you head towards a BBk pull off the side cover to the CVT and check to see if it is restricted. Start there if there is a restriction on the CVT remove then pull off the exhaust(there might be a washer to restrict flow) and re-jet the carb 89-90jet I beli...

Re: need assistance installing spy 5000m alarm

I in all honesty wouldn't even bother with an alarm if it already comes with an engine immobilizer. but if you really want it installed find a shop that installs them on motorcycles and have it done properly because you dont want to mess up the wiring harness on a Burgman

Re: Engine swapping a 1988 Yamaha Razz

Look into a BW's/Zuma(96-01) engine swap parts are easier to find then for the earlier Jogs. Yes they are roughly the same but a little different at the same time. I believe everything should bolt into place but you would need a longer rear shock with the BW's engine and maybe need to remove a littl...

Re: Lightest 50cc offroad scooter

the only ones I can think of are a Pre-Bug BW's/Zuma(1997-2001) and the gen 1 Piaggio Typhoon('05-08) both at about 180lbs. Or if you can find one in decent shape and not too expensive a KYMCO CobraCross(210lbs), Honda Ruckus(anything before '06 it needs constant oil changes at 3000Miles to help the...

Re: Newbie with a Yamaha JYA3

That my friend be a Yamaha Jog. you said it be a '94 model? Then it would be a CY50 very good engine and fast to boot. Plenty of parts still available as the engine was and still is very popular it can be found in the Vino('01-06) and the BW's('03-11) http://www.motorscooterguide.net/Yamaha/Jog/Jog....

Re: Electric or gasoline scooter? Brand?

never ever buy one of those POS. if you want to travel 40-50km a day with out worrying about range go with a gas scooter a good used one should cost no more then $1K as long as you stick with a reliable brand and not a no name Chinese brand.
