Re: 86 elite 150 Deluxe speedometer

Did you measure the reed switch with an ohmeter, to determine if the switch opens and closes the circut ? You could probably cobble up another Honda scooter speedometer to fit, but then you have a hacked up mess. Why not correctly diagnose the issue, source out whatever part you need, either new or ...

Re: 86 elite 150 Deluxe speedometer

There is a reed switch inside the speedometer, it used to be available separately, the odometer is mechanical and should register some distance if you spin the cable long enough. The reed switch is replaceable separately, but unfortunately it is no longer available. Here is a link and the reed switc...

Re: 1995 Honda elite 80 wont start

You have succeeded in saving money, this is a great victory, success is yours, however the goal was to get the scooter running. There is a Honda dealership in every major city, they have factory trained mechanics, who have spent thousands of dollars on tools and education. Perhaps you could get a jo...

This is an eight year old post, very unlikely he even has scooters anymore, much less that he follows this forum.

Re: 2003 Honda Metropolitan

There are many Honda dealers in Louisiana, they sell Honda parts for Metropolitans, you should be able to google for Honda dealers in the closest large town. The Honda dealer should be able to order you an owners manual and also a service manual. The plastic parts for old Honda scooters are rarely a...

Re: Spare scoot

With a labor cost of six days of driving plus fuel costs, it would probably be cheaper to just purchase a local scooter in perfect condition. I know I certainly would not drive more than an hour for a parts bike, but I do intend on purchasing as many of the CH250 parts bikes, locally, as long as the...

The part number for a 1984 Aero 125 intake is 17100-KG8-000
The part number for a 1985 ch80 intake is 17110-GE1-315
Use google or babbitts online to find your part numbers and prices.

MarkS
Drive your truck to Michigan, bring a pocket full of cash, make a respectable offer and we will place the 85 CH250 in the back of your truck.
I have no interest in parting it out, but would sell it whole.

Re: Areo 125 drive belt part # needed

Back when I had my two Aero 125's , I was unable to locate a perfect new belt match, found a couple that were usable, so I went around and bought up all the good used ones I could find. Keep me scooting until I sold the scooters.

Just do a search for " Mikuni conversion for NH 125 "
I did that many years ago.

I sold that along with the full Mikuni carb, intake, adapter and filter system long ago.
You could duplicate it, using stock headpipe and scooter expansion chamber.

Very hard to see, small passageway that fills the bystarter bowl, are you sure this very easy to miss passageway is clear and the bystarter bowl is filling up, This is not the float bowl, this is the bystarter bowl, the passage is hard to see.
