Re: Reflex NSS250 Saddle question

Jem, I have a Reflex Sport and I am relatively tall (6'1" 34 inseam) and find that this scooter has more legroom than most (even more than a friend's Silverwing). First make sure that the seat pad is all the way to the rear. That pad is adjustable and someone may have adjusted it forward. I have als...

Re: Help! Need some suggestions

Get a 8' 2x4. Measure the height your car's bumper is off the driveway. Cut that much off the 2x4. Lay the tire under the bumper and place the cut off piece vertically on the tire next to the rim. Place the longer piece of the 2x4 under the bumper and on top of the vertical 2x4. Use that as a lever ...

Re: NH125 - 2 stroke oil everywhere - bad oil pump?

EDIT: I followed the factory service manual for setting the air screw and throttle stop screw and the throttle stop screw had no affect on the idle at all so i just adjusted the idle using the throttle cable. I have it idling Ok, not great, at 2200 RPM. If the air screw has no effect, that means th...

Let my girlfriend ride it home the other night. she went to start it the next morning, and nothing. tried everything to get it to even slightly start. even in desperation tried a bit of starter fluid, still nothing, i have spark. gas appears to be entering the carb. could it be a dirty carb issue? ...

Re: Aero 125 Windshield & Cover

Just purchased this scooter, have seen very few of these with a windshield, never have seen this cover before. Can anyone tell me if these were factory options or aftermarket? Hopefully the link that follows works for the YouTube video I posted. If not try the link below. [YouTube]https://youtu.be/...

There is nothing that plugs...

Re: New '83 Aero Questions

thank you for the info! here is an update: I removed the carb to clean it, and it appears to be clean - no clogs or gunk. I installed the carb and now the bike won't start at all, neither with the kick start nor the electric.. It makes the noise as though it's going to start, but doesn't I checked ...

Re: NH125 Piston replacement

Tyler, There is a guy in England that has replacement oversize pistons for NH 125 engines, He advertises them on Ebay. From what I understand they are Taiwanese made and not bad quality but the rings are a little soft. The piston in my bike was replaced with a Weisco piston for a CR125. Because the ...

Re: Riva xx125 KickN MY ASS

Easiest way to keep an engine from turning when you are trying to get a stuck bolt off is the rope trick. Take a piece of nylon rope that is smaller than the sparkplug hole, feed it into the hole and then when the piston comes around the rope will lock the engine and keep it from turning. When you a...

Re: auto choke fix ?

If you turn on the key and leave it on for a few minutes, the body of the bystarter should get warm. To really check it however, you need to remove it from the carburetor and measure the length of the little cylinder that goes into the carb. Measure it cold, then connect it to a 12v source. After ab...

Re: My first Aero80 project. Bystarter and carb help

What year Aero is yours? '83 and '84 did not have an electric bystarter. They use plumbing and a bimetallic valve. The bystarter would have no effect on high speed and would only kill the idle if it was stuck open in which case it would start and run cold properly. I think more than likely your jets...

Re: NH80 - Pipe/ Carb upgrade?

CR80 pipe won't work, you are comparing a long stroke torque 2 stroke to a short stroke HIGH RPM 2 stroke. Most of the performance mods tried on Aero 80s result in a lot of work tuning for very little gain in performance. Top speed on a good working Aero is around 42 to 44 mph. The admin on this boa...
