AE50 Hard to Start?

Thought that I'd share a tip I picked up on Moped Army. If your AE50 won't start after sitting for a week or more and just spins on the starter, try blowing gently into the carb vent tube! I'm not exactly sure how this works, but it does the trick on my '97 AE50. I think it must raise the pressure i...

Re: Honda Elite 80 problems getting it to start

Take a look here, it may be that you have a slight blockage in the float bowl. Not sure if it's the same carb, but similar principles will probably apply

AE50 Manual Crowdsourcing

Anyone interested in contributing a couple of dollars toward a Service Manual? There are several on eBay but cost too much for me to justify on my own. The ones I've seen are about $20US, so if enough people are interested & pledge say $2.00 I'll buy a manual & scan it, then send copies direct to ev...

AE 50 Frame Numbers?

Hi, please can someone from Canada / NA & elsewhere post the first 5 characters from their frame number? In the UK and I think most of Europe it's CA1DA, my guess is it's global but would be nice to know. The easy location to find the number is just behind the fuel cap.

Re: Address engine?

An old thread, but I'm a new to Suzuki owner!

I believe the answer is yes, the Morini engine is used on many Suzuki scoots from that era as well as other brands such as Aprilia & Italjet. I'm not sure where the Suzuki engines were made though.

New AE 50 Owner in the UK

I'm in the UK, the AE50 is quite rare here too but some parts are available via ebay and as mentioned on the main site here it seems to share a lot of mechanical parts with the AD 50. I got the scoot home on Thursday without a set of keys. On the advice of a local Suzuki dealer I went to a locksmith...

Hi, I'm looking to buy an AE-50 but can't find any manuals or handbooks online. Does anyone have any links for download?

Thanks
