Re: Metropolitan Fuel Guage

Make sure the float is not stuck (carefully jiggle it up and down with something NON-METALLIC). Check that the cables are plugged in (unplug/replug). Otherwise, you might need a new fuel unit (#16 on the attached diagram) $42+ship new https://www.partzilla.com/product/honda/37800-GGL-J01?ref=7621b4a...

Here's a right side on eBay. You might be able to harvest the reflector off of it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-1984-Aero-125-1983-1984-80-Right-Rear-Back-Turn-Signal-Light-Indicator/292631532583?fits=Model%3AAero+125&hash=item442232d427%3Ag%3AY~IAAOSw~ztbP7RB%3Asc%3AUSPSPriority%2190230%21US%21-1...

Re: Honda Elite SR help??

Here's the manual http://www.motorscooterguide.net/Manuals/Honda_SA50_Service_Manual.pdf With any used scooter, fresh gas, change the oil (your AGIP will work fine), change the fuel filter, clean/replace air filter, replace spark plug (Iridium are good overall). Check you fuel lines for cracks or le...

Re: SYM DD50 Blue smoke and bad acceleration on cold start

Here's the service manual https://scootergrisen.dk/scooterhjemmeside/download/sym_dd_servicemanual.pdf First things first, change the oil (high quality 2 stroke oil will help also. i.e. Motul, Amsoi), change the fuel filter (Chapter 2-3), clean air filter, replace spark plug (Iridium are good overal...

Re: Honda Express SR (How do I identify...)

You can disconnect the oil pump (loop the line from in to out). The line to engine can be folded over and zip tied closed. Plug the oil tank with an appropriate sized screw (machine thread, not wood or sheet metal). Now you can run pre-mix. 32:1 is what you're aiming for, I believe (50:1 is chainsaw...

What size scooter are you looking for? What do you want to use it for? Fun, cruising, primary transportation? Do you have a price range?

Re: Looking for mild performance big bore kit for 1988 Honda elite sa50lx scooter

With this, I always look to Scooter Swap Shop first. Brandon (he's on the Honda Spree and Elite forum) has spent a considerable amount of time with the 50cc Elites. As a matter of fact, I think he has the 75cc kit on sale right now https://www.scooterswapshop.com/products/naraku-elite-dio-75cc-big-b...

Re: 1992 Honda Helix Restoration

Sorry to say, but I don't really have an update at the moment. I've been waiting for the weather to cool off a little bit before I get going with the paint job. It's been a steady 95-100° F for the past month or so. It's finally starting to cool back down as fall makes it's way here. I also cleaned...

Don't search just for the 87. The 84, 85, and 86 all use the same part. And with the exceptions of a few minor parts, the 85-97 model engines are interchangeable.

Lock washers of some kind, or maybe locktite. Don't keep gorilla-ing them down, as the threads are already having a hard time holding.

Aftermarket variator kit and maybe lighter sliders/weights. You should be able to hit ~40. Here's a decent link that explains it in more detail http://totalruckus.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=84821
