Honda Juno

Here's a bit of a neat history tidbit. This is Honda's first scooter ever, the 1954 Juno. Honda made a few versions of this scooter in the early mid 50's before dropping it and creating the best selling vehicle of all time, the Cub. This scooter is a 189cc 4-stroke that was only sold in Japan and on...

Re: Ride Retrospects & Memorable Moments

It's better to upload to a photo hosting website on the internet first for a couple reasons: 1) Many forums don't let you upload directly because it fills up their allotted web space. I have currently allowed it because some files you can't easily host on website (like pdf's) but if this website gro...

Re: For Sale/Trade or Wanted

You'd be looking at a lot more power if you get it all setup properly. The NH80 makes 6.5hp stock and you probably have 7-7.5hp right now. A pipe could probably boost that close to 10hp. The thing with an expansion chamber pipe is that it only works at a certain RPM range (the 'power band'). With a ...

Re: replace front shocks, 150 honda elite 1984

I will dream and save. possibly make a scooter saving section in my budget. Ha Ha....priceless quote  I'm sure I could find a light at Zdenos. The same light goes on a lot of Honda scooters and they had a bunch last time I was there. That will be my fourth taillight. I'm not sure with the cust...

Yup here it is...the new buy and sell section. I even managed to fix a few annoying bugs with the forum that you guys probably didn't notice.

Re: replace front shocks, 150 honda elite 1984

I'm sure they've got the taillights nicely organized just like the exhausts  They did have an NH80 there last time I was there so perhaps you could grab the taillight from that. New taillights are still available from Honda for $16. I'm looking now to see what NH80 parts are still available...

Re: little ruckus

The Elite 80 is a nice scooter. It's got decent power, okay storage in the front and it should be super reliable and last forever since it's a 4-stroke. I think I'd prefer an NH80 though like Ben's because it's got a glovebox which is super handy and it's quite quite a bit more pep. The '85 NH80 als...

Re: For Sale/Trade or Wanted

I think I tossed the pipe when I moved :o I figured that you want to keep your scooter as reliable as you can, and adding a pipe is just going to add risk if you don't take the time to rejet it properly etc. It was a pipe from a CR80 dirtbike. It was only like $15 so it's cheap to buy another....Zde...

Re: Introduction and Welcome

A few other tips: - You don't want stuff like your brake and throttle cables rusting up. Ideally, you could grab some lube or oil and drip that down the ends, but even if you just squeeze the brake levers a few times and twist the throttle every month or so it should help a lot...just to prevent any...

Re: little ruckus

Hmmm.....maybe I'll have to import a 1982 NH80 from Europe to beat you by a year for that extra 2 points. The NH80 was sold 83-85. '83 was the first year for Honda scooters in North America but Yamaha arrived in Canada for '82 and you could buy mopeds (or Vespa's) long before that.
