Re: Honda Stream

Honda did sell the Gyro in the USA which is the same basic design as the stream but with different styling. I don't think they were sold in Canada but you can import one. I've got some info, specs and pictures on those on the main motorscooterguide.net website. That page also has some links to YouTu...

Re: eletric scooters? wans next plan!

there would be virtually no mainteance....you change tires and brakes like you do now but that's about it. There wouldn't be much to do, but when something did go wrong it would probably require a technician because it would be all computer stuff. You'd really have to know your stuff to work on one ...

Re: asian scooters(not japanese)

Yes it was the perfect amount of sucking. Supposedly they have improved their scooters since but I still wouldn't buy one. Chinese (and even Taiwan) scooters aren't worth the couple hundred bucks you save initially because the re-sale value is way lower. You instantly lose a grand when you drive it ...

Honda Stream

I just got a brochure of Honda scooters from the UK. In it is an amazing 3 wheeled scooter called the Stream. Imagine rolling on one of these. They're 50cc 2-strokes that probably go 30-35mph (50-60km/hr). They have a glovebox and storage in the front like the Elite scooters. Plus you can actually r...

Re: little ruckus

Scootin out to Ontario with Joel would be awesome. It would be cool to have that old Ruck for old times sake but supposedly it needs another engine rebuild....and I'd like to have something a bit peppier. I'm hoping to get an '85 NH80 which is just like yours but the styling has been updated a bit a...

Oh yeah Dave for sure...we should let him know about this site. It would be awesome to have Joel too...he's hilarious. Is he still in Alberta? Maybe I can meet up with him when I'm riding back across Canada and we can journey together. That would be epic.

Re: jokes?!

Do you think that one up? That's pretty good! Here's one: A man escapes from prison where he has been for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns and finds a young couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair, while tying the girl to the bed he gets on top ...

Re: Ride Retrospects & Memorable Moments

Snow Cruises make a majority of my memorable rides. The first time I rode in the snow I was heading to work. There had been a storm the night before and we got maybe 6 inches. I laid my NH80 over three times two of them going around 60 and once slower around twenty. I was only around 15 min late. T...

Re: For Sale/Trade or Wanted

Those NH80 rims are amazing....the rear rim should fit a lot of Honda scooters but the front one is pretty unique because I think he used a Honda dirtbike front hub.

I re-sized it. If you upload your pictures to site like photobucket.com then it will automatically resize them.

Re: Introduction and Welcome

Just keep oil in this time and it should be okay. Come spring we can do a fresh plug, fresh gas etc and it'll be fine. Even though you're not driving it, you should fire it up for 10 minutes every now and then to keep the rust out of the engine. Also, you might wanna let it idle for 30 minutes or so...

Re: eletric scooters? wans next plan!

One of the head guys at GM owns one. It's the same guy that's creating the Chevy Volt. He said that one time the charge meter was inaccurate so he ran out of juice in the middle of nowhere. Besides that, he loves it. I think mass produced electric scooters are still about 10 years out. First we are ...

Re: asian scooters(not japanese)

Regarding TNG, they make okay scooters now but they had a pretty rough start. The TNG story is that back around 2003 Costco decided they wanted to copy Yamaha's Vino scooter so they commissioned a Chinese company to rip off the design. The Chinese company took an old crappy motor and shoved it in a ...
