Alright, so, I’ve been trying to size different brands of helmets because I want to get something more than my HJC CL-15. However, all my local retailers it seems only stock HJC, KBC, and some models of Shoei and Arai helmets. There’s no place anywhere around me in Pittsburgh that carries Suomy or Shark helmets, which are the two brands in particular that I was looking into.
How would I go about sizing a brand of helmet that is not readily available at the retailers where I live?

That’s a comparison of sizes between brands. It doesn’t take into account the particular shapes that companies cater to though. So it’s still a crapshoot.

Might end up still having to pay to ship it back though. Just to let you know, I have suomy spec-1r which fit my head the best. Scorpion also fit me pretty well. I tried arai, shoei, and agv to no avail. The shark helmets are extremely nice, but alas, did not work for my head shape. To loose around the cheeks. I am somewhere between a round and oval head shape.

I never used it much as I was able to try on the Scorpion that I wanted locally. I could swear though the EXO-400 and EXO-700 fit differently (they are made from different materials) so at the end of the day you might just need to try on a few. So +1 on the good return policy.
