Need help with identifying

Post by amit.yaco » Sun Sep 21, 2014 1:43 pm

Hello all!

My name is George, and I would like to get some help with identifying an old scooter and fixing him.
My main problem is that I don't even know what model is it - all I know is that it's a Vespa Piaggio, and that he's really old...
My father bought this scooter about 5 years ago (as an old one) and he didn't say much about him, only that he want to renovate him. He's died about 3 months ago, and I want to do this for the memory of him. I should mention that the scooter was up and running 2 years ago, but we stopped using him, so he's know standing still.

I've attached some photos for you to help me:

I would like to firstly know the exact model, and maybe sketches or a place to buy parts from.

Thanks,
George

Hi there looking up your picture it seems that you have a Vespa SI moped (http://databikes.com/infophoto/vespa/si_moped-1992.html). AS to fixing it up you my have to look to Europe for parts. As I couldn't find a web site that listed any parts for it but I didn't look very hard.
