welcome to this site Donny!

Just so everyone knows, Donny is the 2nd place finisher in the 2007 Mad Bastard Scooter Rally (madbastardrally.com) out of 65 scooterists. Donny battled a constantly overheating Ruckus to finish the 800km (500 mile) route just 8 minutes under the 20 hour time limit. Here's Donny's and his Ruckus:

My Ruckus was totalled just 2-3 weeks before the rally so I'm looking forward to finally competing in the 2009 edition of this rally. It runs every 2nd year.

Ha Ha....I'm messing with the colors. It's gonna be wierd for a bit...maybe a few days. But eventually I'll things sorted out.

About your Ruck, how many kms are on it since those weights? What was it at when we did the big bore? 5000kms? 7000kms?

It's probably time for new weights and maybe a belt. An aftermarket variator (perhaps a Polini) should add few mph. That would be cool.

yeah its time this winter to change up,what do you think of free weights as compared to getting new stuff and a new belt?

What do you mean 'free' weights? Does Paul have some lightly used ones or something? If you've got the time, you could remove your variator and see what your weights are looking like. I bet you need some new ones though.

You can get new ones from ImportationsThibault for as little as $12.99. Here is their website but you need to order through your local dealer. Sturgis should have them.

Regarding the variator, I really liked the Polini. It's was good quality and performed well. Some people are saying the KN is even better though. You're call.

Good idea to run it for a bit....hopefully you heal up in time for ice fishing! The way you ice fish (warm hut, cold beer) sounds like a blast.

:ugeek: This guy is cool eh?

I'm using a new version of phpbb for this forum. TotalRuckus uses phpbb2 but I've gone with phpbb3 for this site. There's a lot more adjustability in the administrator settings but even for the regular users, you got more cool smiles and it's way easier to add color to your posts etc.
