 Post subject: 1984 aero 125 start problem

i have a 1984 honda aero 125.......won't turn over.....new battery, etc.....horn, etc works.......how to test relay....what else to look for............the starter will engage if i wire direct (jump it) can anyone suggest anything....i am new, so be kind...thanks

Chances are the foot brake switch is not activated. Without the switch activated, the starter motor will never turn over.

soon after i posted.......i did apply "more" pressure to the brake......and yes, it does work......thank you so much for the help..

Been there, done that and is why my 125s are all getting a left handlebar brake lever for the rear brake. The foot brake drives me batty.

and thanks for the quick reply.......
now looking for the small front/top/fiberglass "shroud" that goes in between the "headlights"
I am a bit older and need all the help I can get.....thanks in Ohio :)

I assume (yeah, a bad thing to do) you mean #6 in this pic http://www.hondabike.com/fiche_section_ ... veh=123986

If not please specify. Oh and there is only "1" headlight so "between the headlights" pretty much means nothing.
