I’m new here

Post by twofitu » Thu Mar 01, 2018 9:27 pm

Just found this forum. Glad to be able to learn from everyone else’s experiences. BTW - I own a 84 CH125. I actually found it in the neighbors barn. I’m sure I’ll need some help.

Pretty cool, it is always fun to find one in a barn. Any idea how long it sat ther? What year is the plate?

Welcome to the forum, probably should resize next time so the photos are easier to see. I love barn finds, I found two Aero 150's and an Aero 250 from an estate sale. One of the Aero's had 57 miles on it, as it was stolen when new and crashed.

I was told it had been there 12 years by the lady who owns the barn. Her ex husband was the PO and he told me 15 years. I had to get the old gas out of it and clean up the tank. Installed new fuel filter, air filter spark plug and battery. Changed the oil and inflated the tires. Turned on the key and after about 3 tries it started. I think the auto fuel petcock is sticking so I’ll replace that but it’s a keeper.

I hope you can post some pictures after you get it all scrubbed and detailed up.

Just a few more during cleanup. Sorry I don’t know how to resize.
