Review:A truly luxurious scooter. Comes with an immobilizer, ABS, TCS, great computer that features oil change and v-belt lights.

Rigid frame in turns, firm ride. Good power and handling. Nice dash.

The best 300cc scooter in the class. Yamaha has set the standard for 300cc scooters in the US. Bought the first one in CO. Dealer support is great!

Review:First scooter I have owned after several motorcycles.

The XMAX 300 has enough power to keep up in any traffic situation other than a muscle car drag race. I live in Tennessee 250 miles from one of the greatest motorcycle roads in America: U.S 129 Deals Gap. Having conquered the Dragon on everything from a Goldwing to a DRZ400s I had to go tempt fate 1 more time. After my break in mileage, I packed my camping gear and headed east into the mountains averaging 70mpg for the duration of the 850 miles.

Cook stove, hammock, sleeping bag, coffee maker in tow, everything except sleeping bag under the seat the XMAX never failed me in the mountains. I had to try and make the scooter scrape the ground and was only successful on the left side once. My rear chicken strips are non existent and the front only have a very 1/8 inch lines remain untouched.

I am obviously happy with the XMAX 300 on acceleration and cornering. Let's discuss the ABS and traction control, the ABS allows the rear to lock for a fraction of a second before smoothly modulating and the front starts to modulate before lock up. The brakes feel solid and stop as expected even after torturing them on Deals Gap. The traction control has came on twice unexpectedly, once accelerating away from a stop into a parking lot I hit a wet paint line and felt it slip then recover quickly with lights flashing on the dash, the other event was gravel in the road over a rise and the light illuminated however I did not feel it.

The seat and controls are day long comfortable. I am 200lbs with gear and my camping gear is around 40lbs.”

Review: My first scooter purchase in 10 years. My last was a Suzuki Burgman 400. The XMAX is truly a trend setter scooter in 2018. Great features such as TCS, ABS, Keyless Ignition has set the standard for Scooter luxury.

Competitors include Vespa GTS, Kymco Xciting 400, and Honda Forza. Great rigid frame, handles well in turns. Great heated grips. Smooth riding, handles most potholes well. Larger front and rear wheels made me choose this scooter over the 2018 Burgman 400. Light weight, great handling in the city and on the highway.

I would describe this bike as a TMAX junior. The seating position is very upright and you feel like you're on an adventure touring scooter. Great storage that fits two full size XL Modular helmets. I am waiting to install the Givi SR2136 Monokey mount for Givi Top box which should be available in January 2018. So far I like the bike for riding around town. Bike works well with Tucano Urbano Leg Cover.

Satisfied with the purchase. The most advanced scooter sold in the US.”

Review: I have been commuting 80 miles a day on this scooter and I can believe it every time I saddle up. It is fun to ride without the hassle of having to throw my old leg over the seat. I can cruise 75 mph all day long and still only spend 10 dollars for gas.”

Maybe a little higher top end speed, but really, No real complaints!!

Review: Purchased September 15, 2018. No regrets. Great motorcycle. I have 2300 miles on it now. I have been using it to commute, take trips, and have fun. You can even go get groceries with it because there is so much room under the seat. Will cruise 75mph all day comfortably.

Very nice dashboard and gauges. Only wish it had a digital speedometer/tachometer, but really the regular gauges are great and are sufficient enough. LED head light is a very nice technology feature. Can ride with a passenger with hardly any change in accelerating and maneuverability. Excellent handing. Changing the oil, oil filter and transmission fluid at 600-mile first maintenance interval was very easy. Had to buy the parts online because they are specific and hardly any dealers stock the oil filter, oil filter O-ring, oil drain plug gasket, and transmission drain plug gasket- but that was no problem and they were much cheaper online. Use Yamalube so you can get the Yamalube engine warranty too. I babied mine through the first 1000 miles for break in because I plan on having this motorcycle for years and years. Purchased an extra 3 years of protection plan too.

Average about 71mpg recently through the mountains, and that is when driving normal/harder accelerating than usual. Has handled any road or curves I have explored here in southern California (even Palomar mountain, I-94). Very comfortable for long rides. Just did a 250-mile trip in 1 day and was very comfortable. The key fob is nice and convenient. Tons of storage – 2 dash compartments and the under-seat compartment. Have even rode it in the rain and had no issues. I adjusted the windshield to the high position and it adequately protects from highway speed wind. Have received many compliments on it, even from street bike riders. I used it for my advanced rider course and had no issues with handling and keeping up with sport bikes. The ABS is great, and the Traction control works very well- it has kicked on when accelerating in sandy parking lots.

I really have no complaints about it. The nicest, most fun, convenient motorcycle I have rode or owned. Really all the motorcycle you need, because it can do everything. I want to take it camping sometime and it has enough storage to do it. The fastest I have been up to is 85mph and it handles very well, and I was protected from the wind. Handles amazing for a scooter. Zero regrets on purchasing. I installed the accessory mount (xmax universal stay) and I can mount my car Garmin on it and it stays put and I have had no issues with it vibrating or falling off. I really like the 5v USB outlet built into the universal stay for charging the Garmin as I drive, so very convenient if you use your phone or GPS in mount on the universal stay.

If you are looking for a large scooter, this is the best one out there in my opinion. Best technology, very nice engine design, and so much fun to ride. I bought mine without test riding it and I have zero regrets. I am also new to Yamaha, and I will probably never switch from Yamaha because of the technology, reliability and the Yamalube warranty program.”
