One of these hoses would likely be the ventilation exiting your engine case. The air inside the engine case gets contaminated (ie. gas fumes leaking past the piston rings) so a ventilation system is in place to prevent the oil from also becoming contaminated. This 'dirty' air exiting your engine case flows into the airbox so it can go back into the cylinder to be burned and thus minimize emissions. You can vent this hose to the atmosphere if you wish...it's your call. It will raise your pollution levels somewhat but not noticeably to you. Make sure that no water can run down this hose if you disconnect it because you sure don't want water in your engine. Route it so it slopes down.
The second hose is likely a fresh air supply for something, perhaps for the carb. Take a look and see if you can see where it runs to. It could also be a part of some vaccum operated system like a vacuum operated petcock or choke. If this is the case you will need to leave it hooked up to some part of the intake but you could move it from the airbox to the intake manifold. If the hose is just a fresh air supply that you can just disconnect it (try disconnecting it before you remove the airbox and see how it runs) and then route it somewhere safe. Perhaps put a small KN filter on the end to protect it.
Have you seen this silver Elite 150? It looks great:
