Re: Looking for mild performance big bore kit for 1988 Honda elite sa50lx scooter

The 72-75cc kits are for 94-01. You're looking at a 65ish cc kit for the '88-93.

Sounds like you are not getting enough fuel to the engine. If you getting running properly before installing the kit, it will be easier to diagnose and tune the new cylinder.

If you have a two piece steel wheel make sure you grab an inner tube my '89 Honda need it and i installed new 90/90-10. Good point. All of the USA Elite 50 scooters use tube-type tires and rims. You can retrofit Metropolitan wheels to run a tubeless 90/90-10. Retrofitting to the wider Metropolitan ...

A 90/90-10 will fit fine. You may have to let air out to install it depending on the brand.

Re: Cold Starting

I've found that to be a common issue with mine, once it gets below *35 F, the e start is unreliable. Kickstart always works first or second kick. Once the engine is warm, e start works again.

It seems like the battery may not have enough juice to spin the cold engine fast enough.

Re: the best chinese scooter?

We were a Znen dealer until our distributor in Texas closed his doors after government scrutiny. Quality was decent for Chinese. The paint faded fast. Parts were hard to get from our distributor so we bought them online. They did not hold up to farmer use but we had few complaints from city users. T...

Re: '88 Jog Rollers

Roller size is correct. Roller weight depends on where your friend wants the power. Most riders run a little lighter than that for stock form.

Re: Tranny parts

Driven pulley fits. Drive pulley might fit if you reuse the af05 boss. The dio crank is larger diameter and longer. The af16 pulley will fit. When the dio switched to the larger belt and larger pulleys, the crank was lengthened again, this configuration will not fit because you cannot secure the dri...
