Re: Honda Aero 80 Drive Belts
I messaged you as well, but I had 50 made. They are actually selling much quicker than I expected. I have three 80's so I am keeping 5 belts, plus the three I already installed on them. Selling the rest will help recover some of my cost, this wasn't cheap to have done!!!

Not sure what you mean.Bear 45/70 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 2:00 pm Actually they probably would as they would delay the variator actuation being stiffer springs.
The Jog Springs, even the 1000 and 1500 springs, were significantly softer than the stock Aero 80 springs. My guess is the clutches would have engaged at idle.

Re: Inexpensive Aero 80 performance enhancement
So have you tried the springs yet? Ok, so I got to the springs today. Pulled it apart and the stock spring are clearly stiffer than 1000 or 1500 Leo Vince Jog Springs, that have 2 less coils and thicker wire diameter. Obviously those won’t help at all. On a brighter note they are the exact length a...

Re: Inexpensive Aero 80 performance enhancement
Like I said they were well worth the money back before I upgrade to a big carb and ported the engine. I agree completely. Only thing else I’m going to try are +1000 springs from a Yamaha Jog, they are the same size, but not sure if 1000 will really be 1000. I have a tach to measure when the clutch ...

Re: Inexpensive Aero 80 performance enhancement
The overall drivability is just better. Getting this in the upper 40’s will keep the assholes of my tail for the most part in 45mph zones. This is a good thing. I love this bike, unlike all my 50’s it doesn’t even feel like it’s trying.

Re: Inexpensive Aero 80 performance enhancement
Ok, got the reeds in, and took it out today. Results in summary, these are a bargain! Definitely improved the midrange, and improved the flat spot when the bike transition from shifting variator to locked straight ratio. I had already changed to the #90 jet and the temp runs within 5-degrees of what...
