Re: 1998 Yamaha Riva 125cc WONT START

That battery sounds weak. Have you charged it? Could also be a bad bystarter or what they call an "autochoke". When those go, it becomes very hard to start the scooter.

Re: 1998 Yamaha Riva 125cc WONT START

you forgot to check the one thing that appears to be missing and needed for combustion -- air. Check for a clogged air filter.

Re: scooter wont run

If you parked it for 6 months without first draining all fuel or putting in a fuel stabilizer in the tank you likely have stale fuel varnished in the carb. Most likely thoroughly cleaning the carb, with emphasis on the bowl, may fix the problem.

There are at least three videos on YouTube on how to do that. You do not remote the center cover for this.

Re: 87' Aero 50 CVT Slipping / Grabbing

Nicely done. These variators are simple devices. Its not hard finding parts, and you should always consider upgrading things that have been reeingeneered, like the weights. As i said when you first posted, nothing beats just taking it apart, especially when service manuals are available. Congrats. N...

Re: Where do you buy parts? (Metropolitan)

The website you suggest is crazy overpriced. And in Euros. Pass and pass. You asked for affordable, not cheap, and euro <-> dollar conversion is child's play. The scooter you own is Japanese, not Chinese. That said, if you ask Google for "honda scooter parts atlanta" it will give you what you seek....

Re: Where do you buy parts? (Metropolitan)

I live in the Atlanta area. There are exactly zero places around here to get CHF50 parts off the shelf. The few things I've needed, I've ordered online. What's a solid, reliable, affordable online store to buy Metropolitan parts, and maybe get some experienced advice about what I need and don't nee...

Re: Yamaha Different models

What is "our country"? Different countries have different regulations for scooters. The model numbers help identify which scooter was designed to comply with which country's rules. Also, it tracks options. For example, the European NH125 Lead is almost the same as the US Aero 125, except the NH125 h...
