never ever buy one of those POS. if you want to travel 40-50km a day with out worrying about range go with a gas scooter a good used one should cost no more then $1K as long as you stick with a reliable brand and not a no name Chinese brand.

Some of the Chinese scooters are now coming out with two lithium batteries which extends range quite a bit. The GigaByke with two litium batteries would probably be around $2000.00. It's Chinese scooter, but it's vetted, sold, marketed and distributed in the U.S. by a U.S. Company. Worth a look.

weather, road surface, hills or no hills, speed mi/max...etc, those things involve alot on which scooters you go for it too
