SYM Joyride 200. center stand not returning upright as befor

Hi everyone
after pushing it off the center stand the jack will go up partly, then after a jump on the seat will go up. I did lubricate the mount (long bar that runs across) with WD40 a few months ago but has gone back to the same situation. is this usually a spring issue or just a lubrication issue?

Maybe I need to use a thicker lubrication spray that wont wash away from rain?
