I read it that way as well, has anyone tried this on the AF05E?

They work on the stock Aero 80 cages and not on any of the smaller engine cages.

One last question, I actually picked up a set of the Boyesen reeds for my Aero 80, were they actually worth anything performance wise?

The reeds worked on my NH80 until I upgraded to a 24mm carb and a 6 reed intake. Of course now I'm riding a Kymco Like 150i and there is no comparison.

Got it, thanks. When you say they worked, did you see any performance improvement?

My nh80 accelerated better than stock and they added 2 mph on the top end.

If it works out that good I’d be ecstatic, I’d be happy with just a better midrange once the variator runs out where it’s a little sluggish in the middle.

Try moving your needle up one notch to cure the midrange stumble.

I actually already did that! I was actually wondering if I will need to go one more up once I get it installed. I have the #90 in it now. I actually went to install these last night and didn’t realize I had to take off the shroud to get to the inner intake bolts. I’ll get it wrapped up sometime during the evening this week.

Did installing these really richen up the bike?

I already had my bike rich enough so I cant tell you if you will need to retune the thing after after the install.

It's generic instructions, it could be more the situation in 2-stroke dirt bikes that spin WAY higher rpm. Either way, I will monitor temp before and after, if I see a drop in temp I'll know.

Or just look at the plug, that will tell you before a temp change will.

I will, but I can look at the temp while I'm riding it. I have a good baseline temp, and will take another right before the swap.
